Navajo Rug Loom Bottom Back

As you can see, the back side of the loom, where the weaver sits, is a whole lot more complicated than the front. You can see how the weaver is using short lengths of yarn of the various colors to weave each color section separately. The two comb-like tools are used to pack down the weft thread as she weaves. The long wood tool is what she uses to pull a selected group of warp threads toward her.
